Abstract
In this talk, we discuss some advances and challenges in the analysis inspired by applications in Materials Science. In the context of hyperelasticity, we consider difficulties caused by the coupling of physical desirable properties of deformations and mathematical convenient function spaces, as well as the variational models of mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian type. Finally, we investigate the equilibria of a hyperelastic charged solid.
